Butter biscuit room
Ingredients: -
- 125g self-raising flour,
- 125g plain flour,
- 1/4 teaspoon salt,
- 1 egg,
- 125g butter or margarine, softened,
- 125g dark brown soft sugar.
Method: -
- Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas 4. Line a baking tray with baking parchment.
- Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add egg, flours and salt and mix together until mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.
- Bring mixture together with hands and turn onto lightly floured surface.
- Roll mixture out to 3mm thick and cut into shapes. Transfer to prepared tray.
- Bake in preheated oven until brown, about 10 minutes.
